There hasn't been enough research to identify the protein: it's only a hypothesis put forth by one of the world's top researchers into this disease (J Brun). Unfortunately there is no money in researching reactive hypoglycemia...only diabetes. I wish I had an answer for you but I can tell you I feel 98 percent better after switching my diet! My son has a Bipolar I diagnosis after Alcohol abuse one night. But he is my child who was always experiencing hunger and food related mood swings. I do the same and have always felt I was hypoglycemic. I guess my mom was, but I never knew it. What protein was missing? I feel like there is still a missing piece.
